Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting.

Kids' Bikes -- Training Wheels or Not?

Posted by Dick Mansfield in kids bikesfamily fitnesscycling

Yesterday was a beautiful spring Saturday in Vermont and a great day for cycling.  I finished up repairs on the old Schwinn and took it for a ride in Montpelier.  In spite of much road sand in the bike lane and rivulets of melting snow, it was a good first outing.  And it seemed like every kid in central Vermont was out learning to ride.

It was just great to see.

As I watched the kids (and walked the bike around a few unsteady riders), I thought once again about the schools of thought regarding training wheels on kid’s bikes.
